She ended up napping in the car from about 5 to 6pm - we went to Chick Fil A before the performance. She cried the whole way home, when normally if I had kept her up she'd have slept for the ride home, but she went right down when we got in at about 9:30pm. I think it just depends on your kid. I tried to maintain a really strict schedule with LO1, and with LO2, I just can't always because they're on such opposite schedules, and it's really shown me that it isn't a cardinal sin, and it won't ruin her sleep forever, to have a late nap, or miss one here and there, or take a car nap, a stroller/ carrier nap, or to go to bed a little late occasionally. I still think schedule is important, but you also have to live your life and participate in special things sometimes! She napped from 11:40-2:10 at daycare today which is amazing! Normally I'd call it a 1 nap day &amp; she'd go to bed by 7.</p> <p>Well, we have an event tonight at 7:30... And the drive is close to an hour. She sleeps really well in the car... Is it so bad to let her fall asleep on the way? I always hear how late naps ruin night sleep but I don't want her to totally melt down at this thing. (And yes, we have to and want to go.) </p>
