But I did see MIL take LO's hand out of her mouth today ... not sure if that will continue though and she (thankfully) hasn't commented. </p> <p>Reading all these crazy stranger stories has me bracing for our next trip home. That's horrible. My LO sucks her thumb but thankfully no one has ever lectured me. You must have been livid.</p> <p>I think the only comments I get are from people who were thumbsuckers. I had no idea how many people sucked their thumb until my LO started, and suddenly everyone has a story about their childhood. What they've all told me is that nothing ever worked to get them to stop. They all just stopped when they were ready. So I decided not to stress about it. Tell those people lecturing you to suck it!
