We bought the Grand C Jeep and didn't get it because we thought IPad all the way. But the problem with that is my son is still to young to really navigate it. My main reason is that in an accident, an iPad in her hand is likely to cause a serious face trauma....whereas a RES is built in and crash tested and won't turn into a projectile. Since most of her movies are digital, I buy a few on half.com to keep in the car. I've never had any issues telling my kids no!<br /> That being said, I wouldn't buy it again. Our screen drops from the roof, and we keep it up most of the time. She will ask for it particularly when we return from a trip, but the answer is often no. The DVD's of her tv shows are relatively cheap from Amazon so I don't mind buying them. I don't see giving our kids tablets in the car at this age. You could debate that we don't even need it since we use it so infrequently. But anyway they know that's the rule and don't even ask. I think it is better for car sickness though. He rarely gets it during other times so it's never been an issue. I'm afraid with a RES kids would want it all the time too since they know it's there.
