When LO is here, they are going to be very important for us! It is way too cold and snowy not to have them!

Even though we only use it a few times a year, it's worth it for us. we need to keep their feet dry and warm when they spend extended amount time in the snow when we go skiing.

the streets get cleared here pretty much while the snow is coming down, so it's easy not to get your feet wet.

but charlie loves the snow so much, and i think we can go sledding this year so i ordered him some sorels off ebay. they're gender neutral so they can be passed down to olive. makes purchases a little easier to think two kids can wear them!

Yeah we have kamiks for T. The kind with the Velcro strap. It's pretty snowy where we live and even walking to the car his shoes get wet. We've already used them a dozen times.

Hmm... I would think in your area, they would be worth it! It gets so cold! Agree with PP, rainboots don't keep your feet as warm as snow boots like Sorels.

I guess it depends where you live. For us, it is something that only gets worn a few times but you so need them if you want your kids to walk/play in the snow. So I bought some inexpensive ones from Costco.

They will be a must for us, once DD is big enough. It's freezing in Ottawa plus we get a lot of snow! She will need them to keep her feet warm and dry while playing on the snow!

Totally worth it because the feet stay warm AND dry. We bought Sorels for DS this year. His daycare goes to the park every day, so I want his feet to be warm. It hasn't snowed yet here, but I send DS to daycare in the snow boots every day. All the kids here are already wearing snow boots.

My LO isn't quite old enough for snow boots yet, but growing up we got A LOT of use out of them. I would imagine rain boot get pretty cold fast in the snow. We always liked snow boots with removable liners to make them dry faster.

It looks like we're going to have a very snowy season this year. Charlie has only had snow boots one season in the past because my mom bought them for him, but he didn't wear them much. We haven't had a huge need for them because he always wore his rain boots. But now that we live closer to the park and the kids loooove playing in the snow, I'm thinking they will get good use out of them.

The problem with rain boots is that snow goes inside them when you step in deep snow. But I also don't want to waste money if they don't wear them much.

Does your LO have snow boots? Do you get a lot of wear out of them?
