Yes, water bottle or no spill cup of choice, labeled, water only. At snack they are given open water cups.

Yes, once they're out of the infant room we're asked to send them a water bottle. I think they have milk at meals in open cups and want water bottles to take outside for play time. In the baby room they have sippy cups but if you want something different you can send it in - W can drink from a sippy but refuses to hold it up himself (he just holds it out to somebody and yells until they tip it up for him) so we sent him a straw cup.

I don't know about allowed or not, but all the kids get little cups of water at snack time (and snack is provided so everyone gets the same). For the kids that stay for lunch they bring their own water bottles.

Some bring water bottles but they usually offer milk or water in cups. They actually have little mini pitchers of water and the kids can serve themselves.

All the kids in my dd's class just bring a water bottle. That's not a rule or anything but I don't think they are allowed juice on a day to day basis and that just seems to be what most have settled on. They only take them out at meal time though, I think. The class is ages 4-5. Most are already 4, turning 5, but there is a younger kid that just made 4.

DD's new preschool doesn't allow the kids to bring their cups from home. At first I thought it was strange but it makes sense to me now as it reduces classroom conflicts over who has what cup etc. it's only 3 hours a day and they give them cups of water at snack. Do other schools have this policy?
