@travelingbrit: I got pulled over once in a rental PT Cruiser! I was on my way to work and apparently I couldn't see that a cop was flashing his lights. It wasn't until he was next to me and flailing his arms that I pulled over - and he yelled at me! (Okay, where was the emergency?) He went on about didn't I see the flashing lights and how stupid was I not to move aside for him? He didn't want to hear my explanation about how it wasn't my car and I couldn't see the mirrors or out the windows. It was so scary and embarrassing!

I can pretty much drive anything. I don't like the smallest cars, though because I feel claustrophobic!!

I had to drive a huge 13 or 11 passenger van for work once.. I am 5'2. I was literally sitting on the edge of the seat, it was awful!

I can drive stick and have no problem with larger trucks/SUVs (I drive one on a daily basis and am only 5’3”); but my husband used to have this little Mercedes sports coupe that was not made for short people. I had to pull the seat all the way up to reach the pedals and then I was basically sitting all up in the dashboard, and had to then push the seat back to get out. My FIL who is 6’2” couldn’t drive that car either. I don’t how it was designed so poorly; but it was apparently only made for people from like 5’8” to 5’10” tall. So annoying.

I can't drive stick either. I'm tall so that's never an issue, but I'm very uncomfortable driving big cars like my parents' minivan or big SUVs in general. We already talk about what kind of mom car I'll be able to handle.

@littlek: some of the new mustangs are really poorly designed so even if you are tall enough, it's hard to see with the way the hood is shaped. I had a really old mustang in high school and it wasn't an issue with that one.

My friend was double parked at my house and I needed to go to the store, she said "just take my car" so I thought *ok, why not*. WELL, she drove a sunfire at the time and it was snowy and slippery and I could NOT reach the pedals without sitting on the edge of the seat. The seat was also moved as far forward as I could get it! Scariest 5 min grocery trip of my life.

I refuse to drive big pickup trucks, just b/c I feel like I'm gonna hit things! My dad and FIL both have one.

I can't drive a stick. Big huge trucks and SUV scare me too. Never driven one cause I have only driven sedans, afraid I couldn't park them.

PT cruisers have like zero visibility and the rental car companies always try to give them to me. I always refuse and make them give me something else.

I live in London so I refuse to drive anything that's too wide. The roads are incredibly narrow here and people park alongside the roads to make even less room!

4 years ago, DH had a dodge charger and it was impossible for me to drive...it accelerated way to fast but not in a good way, in a jerky, scary way!

I can't really drive manuals either. When I was 16, my best friend felt sick so she made me drive her home in her stick shift, she taught me how to drive it in the parking lot of the mall...I was terrified and never did it again!

I had to rent a car for my work trip and they gave me a mustang. Um, the problem is I'm short and the seat doesn't move up high like my SUV so I can't see over the hood. Being short sometimes is rough. Are there cars you can't drive because of your height or some other reason?
