I vote no, and that it's probably hiccups. When you have contractions, your uterus also clenches/gets hard and is accomapnied by some mild cramping.

Depending on how your baby is positioned, it might be his/her movements (maybe tiny punches). My baby is head down and I feel what you describe and asked my OB about it at my last appointment and she said she thought it was just baby movements because her hands are down in that area. I didn't feel my uterus tighten or any discomfort when I felt the movements, so I don't think they are contractions.

I'm 34 weeks. I'm wondering if they're just baby hiccups...they've stopped for the time being but next time it happens i'll see if my uterus is hardening. Thanks!

How far a long are you? Those could be actual baby hiccups or baby movements.
Usually if you have a contraction your uterus gets really hard to the touch and then relaxes back to normal again. Atleast that has been my experience so far, but i havent experience "Real" contractions in labor yet, only braxton hicks so far

I feel really stupid posting this, but last night and now I've been feeling these tiny hiccup-like movements in my lower lower abdomen (think lady bits). Is this what contractions feel like?
