My baby is head down and I feel what you describe and asked my OB about it at my last appointment and she said she thought it was just baby movements because her hands are down in that area. Those could be actual baby hiccups or baby movements.<br /> Usually if you have a contraction your uterus gets really hard to the touch and then relaxes back to normal again.
