@lioneyes: I am so thinking of you. The speculum thing sounds right- the cervix is VASCULAR and def prone to spotting if messed with!
Like LAZB said, don't be afraid to push the issue. I'm always so scared of being "annoying" to my docs and ya know, what, screw it. Call anytime you're worried esp with your history.

Thank you all!!! I do believe the bleeding (which is pink not red) could be from 2 speculum exams and a swab on Sun,mon and Tues. depending how much more “fluid” (whatever it is) I lose between now and the weekend I might go back in- both swabs came back negative and the ultrasound Monday showed full fluid in the sac. Will keep an deye on this though because I know how I feel more than the docs.

I don’t think it sounds like pee, especially with the pink color. I’d go in again. I had gushes like that with my first, and it was my water breaking.
With my third I went in for bleeding and they passed it off as “normal” bleeding before labor, even though I knew it wasn’t. I should have pushed the issue more, but everything seemed fine (baby was moving, HB was fine, etc). Fortunately everything worked out ok, but I ended up having a placental abruption which could have been deadly.
Anyway, sorry, not trying to scare you, and clearly your scenario is different, but just thought I’d throw it out there that sometimes they pass over things and say they are normal, even when they aren’t.

I wouldn’t describe what I had as big gushes but I had an amniotic fluid leak that came back negative when they swabbed it. This went on for a week and a half and then my amniotic fluid showed up as low in an ultrasound and we had to induce due to low fluid. I also chalked it up as urine when two tests came back as negative. Might be good to make sure they are doing regular ultrasounds just in case.

@pachamama i mean it probably is pee but very diluted but I wonder if it’s happening so much and so often bc the baby has moved and is on my bladder so i can’t stop it once it’s happening. And i wonder if that is a sign of early labor?

Hi from your progesterone shot buddy. Is it really definitely not pee? Have you let the undies sit and dry then smell them later? Pee always smells more like pee after it dries (I am a big pants pee-er)
How could you be leaking fluid with a closed cervix and lots still in the sac?! Weird right?!

@lioneyes: wow, no wonder you are going crazy! it certainly sounds like something to me, but it also sounds like you are being monitored pretty closely. I hope baby stays in a little longer!

does it smell like pee? I'm 38+4 and its pretty obvious from the way my body feels that the baby has dropped (as of about 2 days ago). I'm not having gushes of fluid, but cervical mucus has definitely increased in my underwear, and I usually get a drop or two of urine down my leg when I stand up from the toilet. That said, I've never had full incontinence, so this trickle of urine is standard for me when my pelvic muscles are strained.
i do look different, and like I said- I'm feeling intense pelvic pressure and low back pain. its hard to walk, and I"m certainly not walking normally.

I am 34w4d today (DS came at 35,2 but I have been on progesterone shots since 17w this time).
Sunday I went to OB triage because I lost a lot of fluid, came back negative as amniotic fluid, they sent me home. Lost a lot more late Sunday night and started bleeding (pinkish) so went back Monday am. Same deal. Also cervix is closed, baby looks fine, tons of fluid in sac.
I’m still losing fluid in gushes, not a slow leak and not enough to wet the floor but it soaks my pants multiple times a day. If it’s pee, is this a sign baby dropped? I look exactly the same and can’t control the gushes which suuucks.
Also I lost 3-4 lbs since the hospital Sunday and my doc appointment yesterday which happened last time.
I’m not really having contractions (1 or 2 an hour since last night but could be BH).

Any thoughts? Would like baby to hang out for another 2 weeks at least!
