Generally, I am a good test taker, but I've been studying for a professional cert. recently (the PMP) and in taking the sample test questions, they all seem like trick questions where 2 or 3 of the 4 multiple choice could be right! If it's not a test like that, I'm generally better, but I feel like I really have to know the admins of this test and how they think to pass it.

I'm like you, I know the material backwards and forwards, but when it comes to test time, it looks like I never paid attention in class nor did my homework. So frustrating!!!

I still get a little anxiety when I take a test. Once I start, though, I'm totally focused on it. I really just want to get it over and done with.

I'm pretty good at standardized tests...70 points away from a perfect score on the SAT, including writing. It probably helped that I was taught to look at tests as a puzzle or pattern so even if I didn't know the actual content of the question I could guess correctly. I hope my future LO gets this from me!

ETA: My teachers and parents worried because I always finished in half the allotted time so they thought I was guessing. I just never thought twice about anything?

I used to get test anxiety on standardized tests, I'd be rushing to finish and not read the questions properly, so I'd often get the wrong answer, even though I'd know how to solve it. On regular school tests, I always had high marks, usually perfect or near perfect.

My GPA was always really high, I am good at writing papers, doing research and presenting information.

I'm a really good test taker. Particularly standardized testing. For me when I was applying to colleges my college counselor was somewhat concerned that my SATs and AP scores were so high but my GPA was just above average, not crazy high. She said it looked like I didn't try hard enough in class when really it was just that my grades weren't as great in classes where I had to write papers rather than take tests. I hate a research paper!!

I'm a pretty good test taker. I'm a good studier and can memorize information then spit it right back out. Then two minutes after the test J's over I forget it all again.

I used to be bad... when I entered college I got a lot of help from friends and learned how to test more effectively. I'm better now, but still not perfect.

I'm a pretty good test taker. I wouldn't be a good lie detecter test taker because I get really nervous and my heart races when I'm giving verbal answers.

No, but I kind of wish I were. I'm a great test taker and therefore usually sail through things whilst putting forth minimum effort. I've always done well but I'm pretty lazy as I know I don't need to exert myself too much. It's NOT a good trait and I always wish I had studied harder.

Now DH, on the other hand, has a wonderful work ethic and has always studied hard and done very, very well. I really hope our DD inherits his study skills and not my procrastinating ways!

I'm a good test taker. I can fly through the exam and almost always get a good grade on it, if I have studied. Hope I pass that on to my kiddos!

I am and always have been a terrible test taker. I over think all the questions, or I make small errors. I hate it because I'm very smart and I learn very quickly.

My GPA in school never reflected this because of my terrible test taking skills. I can't study for the life of me. Even with open book open note tests, I still do terribly. I really think it's because I'm over analyzing problems. Ugh....this frustrates me so much! I just got a 70% on a test I just took, but I know the material backward and forward! :-(

Are you/were you a good or bad test taker?
