While I'm disciplined with money and work hard now because I am looking at the "big picture" of our future, I much more often get hung up on the "little details" of the moment. For instance, I'm TTC now and experiencing some issues with that, and while I am sure in 5-10 years when I have all my kids, all this stress I feel now about being TTC will seem so silly. Details annoy me. Example: vacation planning. I know people who plan, down to the minute, what they will do on vacations, where they will eat, etc. Me, on the other hand? Vacation planning is basically just buying a ticket and, if needed, making a hotel reservation in advance. To the extent where if someone tells me a story and it has to include the names of the people and how they spread their jam on their toast (my coworker - huge details person- does this), it drives me crazy and I stop listening. I am a big picture person, but I notice and care about the details *when I feel like the details are important*.
