I think I'm fairly low maintenance but I definitely expect more from my close friends. I give less to casual friends and expect less. But I give more to my close friends and expect more from them.

Sadly my best friend from high school is only a good friend when it's convenient for her so she's been demoted to the casual friend category (in my mind, I haven't told her) lol

I'm pretty low maintenance too. I don't expect much because I don't want to end up being disappointed. I expect more from my close girlfriends though. I'd be pretty upset if they didn't call me on my birthday or attend big events (like birthday parties or anniversary parties), unless there was a valid reason of course. Otherwise, I'm chillz.

I'm pretty low maintenance. I have similar requests as @chopsuey119. I'm personally trying to be a better friend by seeing, staying in touch better.

I'm pretty low maintenance.
I just ask that "friends" I've known for over 10 years wish me a happy birthday, reach out to me once in a while (every so many months) and that they thank me for sending a baby gift when they've received it. I don't need a thank you card. Just a text or an email!!

I have 1 friend left that I met in college.
I have a handful of good friends I met online! (we've met irl too).

I used to be a great friend, but was pretty high maintenance? I just mean that I had high standards of friendship, and would walk away from friendships if someone let me down.

A few years ago though, I decided to not ask so much of my friendships. Overall, it's been a huge win in my life and a big boon for my professional networking. However I do think that I have less rewarding friendships now. I think when I asked more of my friends, I gave more and received more.

Not sure how to reconcile and process all this. I'll figure it out when the kids are older haha!

Are you a high-maintenance friend? Do you ask and/or give a lot to your friends?
