My parents didn't have a lot of money to spoil us with. I do like to spoil my younger siblings now. It's small things, like taking them to dinner or picking up some groceries. I love that my husband is ok with me doing these things. Not in that we all get whatever we want all the time material wise, but we got our fair share of things and money if we ever really needed it. And even to this day as adults, when my dad buys gadgets or stuff and we want it, we're free to "steal" it from him. My dad passed away when I was only 13 so they both took on the "father" figure to me. Growing up it was tough because they were SO strict and I always felt like the "responsibility". But looking back I realize now that they were/are very good to me. They bought me a cell in high school, gave me allowances, bought me brand name clothing and practically supported me through college. They dropped out of college to get full time jobs to help my mom with the mortgage otherwise we would have lost our house. During Chinese New Year they would always give me ridiculous red envelopes. My one brother always buys me the newest gadgets even though I don't ask for it. Like new iPhones, Nook when they just came out etc. </p> <p>I'm spoiled even though I'm 30 :P.</p> <p>But I am also supreme spoiler of my nieces &amp; nephews so it all evens out! </p>
