@Mamaof2: I also print important docs I'm reviewing... but if you have a tablet, you can use an app and a stylus in a similar way! The Pages app lets you annotate Word docs...

Oh yeah. I need a hard copy and electronic file of all my paperwork. I print all the time.

I totally print out stuff, I carry it in a file folder, that's how old school I am. THere's nothing as effective as that silly folder when we're having an issue "remembering" what the requirements said...I just pull out my hard copy and we can all read it!

Oh god, yesterday we had a 122 page fax come in--4 times! The same one! Someone finally had to call the person and be like "Um..."

We have to have paper copies of everything, though, no matter how big....luckily we don't normally get 350 page documents, though!

One of our clients is the Canadian Institute of Forestry which basically helps to regulate the logging industry and protect Canada's forests and they stress that there is nothing wrong with using paper (infact they would like people to continue to use paper/wood products as it's a economic drive in Canada). It's a renewable resource. Our forests have been sustained for over 70 years (at least in Canada), so paper usage hasn't been damaging.

I don't use much paper myself at work. I do almost everything on my computer.

LOL - I rarely print things at work!

But I can definitely see how paper copies make certain things easier! Usually when I'm reviewing a document, the author wants the comments in Word so they are easy to track and stuff, so almost all my reviewing is on the computer!

I print out documents that I'm editing. It's easy to miss things when editing online, especially with track changes. Your eye just doesn't catch the same things! I minimize the printing as much as I can though.

I hate reviewing docs on the computer - I like to have a paper copy so I can manually highlight and mark the pages - but the document is 350 pages!!!!!

I am trying to see if I can leave certain parts out because printing 350 pages is excessive.......ugh!!!

~and yes we do recycle~
