Not with most things, but I'll admit I'm watching closely with gross motor skills - L has a low muscle tone and I'm really hoping that little brother didn't wind up with that too. It's a mild case that you wouldn't really notice now that he's walking, but I would love for D to not take as long to roll/sit/crawl/walk. It was tough seeing L get so frustrated and really tough carrying around a 30lb toddler everywhere! But otherwise I don't compare much.

I just had a conversation with my best friend about this yesterday. A little comparing is OK, but constantly comparing and making it a competition is unfair. The trick is not trying to one up another family, as everyone's home-life is very different, and therefore oour kids have different opportunities beyond just our genetics. In the end, if they are happy and healthy, and somewhere within the "normal" scale, don't fret!

I'm terrible for this!! I don't compare her development/milestones particularly but I compare her in terms of her sleep.

I notice but I don't care. Lo is a little behind in milestones compared to other babies in the May moms group. But I think she is in normal range and she'll do things at her own pace and that's fine.

I compare a little. LO is in the range of normal with expressive language, but our friends' LOs talk circles around him! He's much more active though and has better gross and fine motor skills. Lol not comparing is hard!

I don't really compare my girls to other kids, but I definitely compare them to each other at the same age. I really try to remember that there is a huge range of "normal", but these girls are SO different.
