Which leads to my allergy to tree nuts, which seems to have manifested into other allergies, which are yet to be officially determined in a couple of weeks when I go for allergy testing again. When I was a child they gave me horrible hives. Nothing else, though. I have never been sick enough to warrant antibiotics in my life, so I very well could be allergic to them. I also have very mild seasonal allergies. I also have seasonal allergies, am allergic to dogs (but my non-shedding dogs don't bother me), hay, and if I eat too much dairy I get sick but not a full blown allergy.</p> <p>I have that same reaction to pumpkin/squash! Wool makes me itch, I'm allergic to harsh bleach, dust (only if it touches my skin), grass, almond oil. If I eat too many eggs, I break out in hives. If I wear perfume constantly, my skin gets red and raw feeling. When I was young, I was sensitive to fish. I think I'm allergic to whatever is in the z-pak, too, but not positive because when I took it, I got hives, but they also could have been caused by the virus I had (I actually had a virus and didn't need antibiotics, but they didn't know it at the time). </p> <p>Liam was perscribed amoxicillin for his ear infection last week and I was so nervous he'd be allergic that I made sure to have benedryl ready just in case. I had chronic ear infections and they didn't want to give the same antibiotic over and over so they wanted to find out what I could take. Over the winter though, I had a sinus infection, ear infection, and bronchitis, but I saw a new PA at my doctor's office. She WOULD. NOT. give me amoxicillin even though I told her I wasn't allergic. She claimed it wasn't in my chart and that I was wrong. I ended being sick for over 2 weeks because she wouldn't listen to me! My doctor finally got back from vacation and gave me amoxicillin and I was better in 2 days. Whenever I see a doctor who isn't my regular doctor and they have to prescribe antibiotics, I tell them to just give me amoxicillin, and sometimes they argue with me and try to tell me I must be allergic.
