I don't need much alone time, but I do enjoy it sometimes. I am happy to spend a Saturday night in, but I don't like to do that all the time. I love meeting new people, hanging out in groups/crowds, attending parties, etc. I am definitely more energized after these activities than after spending time alone. My job involves a lot of interpersonal interaction. However, I feel a little anxious going into situations where I know few people (like a wedding without a date, a new playgroup, etc). I always act outgoing, but internally I am nervous at first...once I've gotten over it though, I have a blast. I hate public speaking and prefer not to be the center of attention. I also dislike making phone calls and definitely prefer text/email. I think it's because people often confuse extroversion with being outgoing. I'm a friendly, outgoing person, but I also recharge by being alone vs. with others.
