She's my BFF! We live three hours away though :( I'm close-ish to my step dad too. Don't talk to him too much unless we see each other in person though.</p> <p>I'm not close to my dad, we text sometimes, and when I'm in town I go over for Sunday brunch to see him and my Gran.</p> <p>DH is close to his parents (and so am I!), but in typically boy fasion he doesn't talk to them TOOO much.. but probably a text or something every other day, and lately they have been obsessed with facetiming us a few times a week to see DS. We talk often and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with them. We're/They're lucky that we didn't move out of state and have them near us as well. DH and I talk about how we hope to be as close to our kid(s), but realize that they likely won't live in MI in the future (since a lot of kids move out of state after college). </p>
