The 6 weeks after giving birth, I had no appetite - maybe I was so stressed/tired/overwhelmed. I didn't eat at all unless my mom or the hubs literally sat me down and forced me to eat. But after that phase, I started wanting to eat. Now, 4.5 months later, I eat like a horse.

heck yes. I need to stop because I rationalize with the "500 calories/nursing" thing too, but I probably go over that extra cushion, so how will I ever lose the baby weight yet to come off? I started jogging a bit in the fall, but now it's tougher to get motivated the colder it gets....

Yes! My LO is 8 months old and I'm hungry, hungry hippo 24/7! When I used to wake up in the night to nurse I HAD to eat something because my stomach would be growling.

Yeah I exercise a bit less so I thought I'd be hungry less but breastfeeding I guess makes up for the working out less because I got back to pre preg weight pretty quickly for being such a hungry monster. Now just need to get back some of the muscles.

I did. I think I was just so used to eating a lot when I was pregnant that it was hard to stop. But as I realized the weight couldn't come off if I kept doing that, I had to force myself to stop.

I am so hungry after having Olive! I could eat and eat but usually just scrounge because I can't find the time. I tell myself I'm burning 500 calories a day by breastfeeding so it's ok. :-)

I didn't have a big appetite shortly after Olive was born, but the past month I have been a hungry, hungry, hippo. Do you find yourself with a big appetite post baby?
