No LO yet, but I get jealous hearing about my friend's easy babies too, and constantly hope/wish ours will be like that!

@BelugaBean: THIS!

@zippylef: 6.5 months and walking?!? Geez! I thought 10 months was early

@Rubies: I've heard that, so I'm hoping that some day it would come true. It would be nice to have the tables turned just so that I wouldn't feel like the weird one ;-)

Nah, I think every kid is "easy" and "hard" in their own way. It all evens out!

I used to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous of my friend's "easy" baby (they could take her anywhere, she'd eat anything, sleep anywhere, etc.) because mine was super colicky, super picky about sleeping in her crib, and just thrives on routine (and anything outside of her routine would mess her up). But now, I'm not so jealous because every mom and kid duo is different and I bet all your friends are jealous of you for something. Waves of "easy baby" come and go!

I have a friend whose daughter is 6.5 months old and walking already. It makes me feel a twinge of jealousy that her daughter is so far advanced in physical milestones when C isn't.

On the note of being more difficult, it only makes the jealousy worse when they don't understand. We've been asked to go places when we can't because LO is needing a nap after fighting it or something similar. The person asking always says it'll be fine, she'll adjust. I know she won't and it makes me jealous that it was that easy to do things with their baby.

I have one friend whose baby is super chunky and heavy. Her baby is the same age as my DS by just a few days. I'm jealous b/c DS is tiny and in the 10% for weight, and I keep trying to fatten him up. I almost feel like I'm a bad mom since my baby is so frail looking compared to hers.

@BabyBoecksMom: Yes for pretty much the exact same reasons. My nephew was such an easy baby. When I look back at pictures when he was small, they were able to go anywhere and have a calm baby who would fall asleep if he needed to. I love LO but I just want one day like that.

ETA: She's generally happy but has at least one fit a day where she's fighting naps. Usually she has two and as she gets more tired, it becomes a more difficult situation. My nephew would just fall asleep when tired.

I love my daughter more than words can explain, but there's a twinge of jealousy when I hear how "easy" my friends' baby is while I'm struggling to make it to bedtime with mine. Her baby is super easy, will fall asleep anywhere, is always happy and smiling and has slept through the night since she came home.
Oh, just a day of that would be blissful! HAHA
