In certain parts of my body I am... but my hamstrings have always been really really tight.

Yep, yoga instructors have always told me that I have the flexibility part down! Even Bikram in that burning heat! :P

As for strength and other athletic abilities? TOTAL FAIL. LOL

Nope and never have been. Even as a kid I couldn't touch my toes without bending my knees. No amount of stretching helped either.

Side note - I thought you were supposed to get more flexible the further into pregnancy you got. That hasn't helped either. Haha!

I am still pretty flexible. Before getting pg, I had my middle splits (and in the process could pretty much push my chest flat to the floor with a flat back) and my left splits (right splits were still an inch or two off the ground). Even in 3 inch heels I can still press my palms flat against the floor with little effort. But, before I hit a growth spurt many, many moons ago, I was a gymnast, and have worked hard (through pilates and other dance classes) to maintain my flexibility.

Once I started working out regularly my flexibility improved a lot. It's still not great, but it's not sub-par like it used to be, haha!

It's impossible to be flexible if your muscles are cold and unworked. Kind of unfair for your hubby to randomly test you like that, @chopsuey119! :P

I just checked and I can touch my toes but I still don't count myself as flexible. If I'm sitting on the floor with my legs spread, I can touch left hand to left toes, right hand to right toes. But I can't touch both hands to a foot without bending my knee a little.
