It's full of cute houses and (mostly) like minded and similar aged neighbors... The exceptions are the oil tycoon on the corner (who we like but is very different from us) and the TV yeller:). Our dog plays together with our neighbors dog all day, every day and we help each other out if one's going to be gone awhile and needs us to do something with the dog. She gave us her granddaughter's old high chair to use with our baby and has given us several gifts already for the baby. The people we bought our house from also live down the street about 3 doors so we talk to them pretty frequently and we get together quite a bit with a young couple that lives 2 doors down the other direction. We've gone out to dinner twice, had basketball parties, etc. It's nice that we can call each other up and get together for an hour in our sweats and nobody has to drive anywhere, we just walk down. </p> <p>I did call the cops on some other neighbors yesterday though because they have 2 dogs that are never on a leash and always running into other people's yards and just in general being annoying. Yesterday a group of brothers was walking their dog and the 2 dogs attacked the dog on a leash. It was ugly and there was a group of 9 or 10 kids standing around. I ran out and got the kids away from the dogs because they were trying to break up the fight. It was dangerous and made me mad so I called them in. Our best friends live across the street. Our next door neighbors on both sides frequently have us over and vice versa. Our neighborhood basically rocks! 3 stay at home dads, one stay at home mom, another doctor pair. Tons of kids and one crazy older guy who yells at the TV all day. They reported us to the apartment complex office AND THE POLICE for noise on the day our movers were moving us in...on a Saturday, in the middle of the day. The people that live behind us are very nice. They have 2 young kids who always come over and pet the dog when I'm letting her out. The people behind us are super rude and the only time they have talked to us (well my FIL) was when my FIL was building us a small shed in the backyard, the neighbor came out to tell him not to lean the wood on his chain link fence.... seriously? They never pick up their dog poop and their backyard looks like crap and we never get to go in the backyard because it smells horrible ;(</p> <p>The neighbor on the left side of us is friendly, we wave and say hi but don't talk much. The bitchy lady to my left won't even acknowledge me (we walked to the mailbox at the same time one day and she didn't even look at me!). Then the neighbor across will wave and say hi but he one of those people that he talks to the ENTIRE neighborhood lol. We are also a younger couple compared to the others. I don’t like people all up in my bizz LOL We are friendly with our downstairs neighbors (condo) – they are a very sweet couple, but we don’t do get togethers or anything. The house across the street has a young couple who are also nice and we will talk to them if we both have our cats outside at the same time, but we never do anything with them. On one side the neighbors wave and seem nice. On the other, the neighbors suck. They are a revolving group of hipsters who don’t work and who party a lot in summer. They lit their house on fire a few summers ago via discarded cigarettes – we woke up to the flames and smoke and called 911, and I ran over and banged on their door to wake them up. They never thanked us or anything. There is one woman down the street with a daycare who annoys the hell out of me, as do her customers who seem to think they can park anywhere they like on our block (like, the middle of the street (!!) or blocking our driveway).
