I work with kids so I get one free through work every year, and DH works in health care so he gets one too. Last year was the 1st year that I got one b/c I was pregnant. This year I really can't afford to get sick at my new job, so I'll probably go ahead and get one again (and for DD too). However, the flu shot does make me a little nervous b/c DH's cousin got Gullain-Barre syndrome last year. The flu is not to be messed with! I used to never get the flu shot but then in college I got the flu (luckily it was a very mild case) and it turns out I am allergic to Tamiflu which is pretty much the only medication they can give you.
