I will be every single second. But to me, it's okay, so long as I'm keeping tabs and picking the right spots to intervene. I can't see us as parents preventing anything... only guiding. As a teenager, I was a very "good" kid. I didn't smoke, hang out with "bad influences," and I didn't have my first sip of alcohol until I was 20. Okay...so I may have been a tad sheltered by my own parents, haha.</p> <p>The one thing I DID do to make my mom really mad was that she found out I had sex at 17. I lied to my parents for the first 2 years of high school and then I realized that if I was just honest with them everything was a lot smoother! I was a party girl, so was my mom, it worked better to be honest and say "i'm going to a party, probably drinking, and I will not drive."
