I didn't anticipate that we would get so many gifts from other people this year. It's probably only because I'm about to have DD2 and everyone felt like spoiling DD1 this year so it probably won't happen next year but just in case ... I really dislike the excess and consumerism of Xmas. I bought a lot this year since the kids didn't get birthday presents, and it was the first Christmas where Charlie was actually aware of what was going on. But he has never cared too much for gifts, and I think having too many just resulted in him playing less with each one, whereas if he had just one gift, it would definitely have been played with. He is obsessed with puzzles actually lately, and they're the only toy that he plays with.</p> <p>Next year we'll do matching pjs, some books, 1 big toy, and maybe a couple of small stocking stuffers. </p> <p>What about you? </p>
