I love cabbage, but it makes my poor Irish DH's gout flare up so we do without it and add a salad.</p> <p>Monday was Pi Day, so I made a Shepherd's Pie, but topped it with tater tots instead of mashed potatoes. That was actually a really frugal meal - I had the ground beef, mixed veggies, and tots already in the freezer!</p> <p>Tonight I'm solo, so I'll probably just eat some leftovers, but after DS is in bed, the plan is to make some Irish soda bread to have with breakfast and dinner tomorrow, since its only good for a day.</p> <p>I also have a package of bangers that I'll make some mashed potatoes and gravy for and serve it with a side of peas. The prepackaged ones are really salty. It's definitely a particularly authentic recipe but easy enough and the toddler will eat the pieces separately, but not once it's in pie form.
