I went shopping with my MIL and SIL on Saturday and they bought tons of stuff for our baby and I sat down yesterday and wrote the thank-yous. I think it's really important to send a thank you note and I really enjoy receiving them so I try to be pretty punctual. It's customary to reciprocate a gift with a thank you card and gift back. So for all the baby presents we received, we had to send out a thank you gift back. There are companies that do all this for you. We sent out a rice in a pink package with LO's name, weight and birthdate. The rice weighed the same as LO's birthweight. I've been lucky to be having mini-showers, so each shower I have a smaller, more manageable amount to write.
