I usually have to wait a couple of days before the whole thing turns yellow, but once it does, it's time to cut. Watermelons are pretty easy. I just tap to hear hollowness and try to find one that feels heavy for its size. But I can't for the life of me pick out a good pineapple or cantaloupe! They're always too ripe or not ripe enough (usually the latter). </p> <p>Do you have any tips for picking the best fruits or veggies? </p>
