I've been home for almost 3 yrs. I am really ready to go back to work though. I've missed it so much. I will really miss the kids, but am hoping to find a nanny so that I don't disrupt their schedule too much. I'm grateful I got to stay home a year paid, but I enjoy working more. I work casually out of the home, do some at-home self employed stuff and mostly stay at home looking after LO. When I have to actually go to work, it sucks but once i'm at work, i'm happy. After 3-4 days at home looking after LO i'm so tired and ready for a break. But I look forward to the day when I have a full schedule of births to attend (I'm a doula and birth photographer). She rubbed me the wrong way with work from home stuff basically saying to my boss and I that her family is more important than ours. I've been feeling that my career choice just isn't for me. I'm thinking about possibly staying home after we have the next LO and then go back to work in a couple years but in a new field.
