I can't complain too much! DD (11 weeks) goes to bed at 10 and sleeps until 8:30-9 with 2 short wakeups. Naps aren't great, she'll only take a good one when I'm holding her but we're working on it.

I really shouldn't complain....

But lo is a pretty solid 6:30-7 to 5:30am sleeper with a nap from 11-1. I would love a little later but it's just not happening. Every time I to shift he wakes up earlier....

I can't complain! DD1 goes to bed at 8 and is up around 7. I have been getting DD2 down within an hour of that usually and she has been giving me 7-8 hour stretches, then up every 3 after that, which is nice. I go to bed with her to maximize sleep and Then get up earlier to get things done while they're both still sleeping. DD1 takes a 3 hour nap around 2 and I can usually get DD2 down for a long nap around that time, too!

Yes, he's great! He's always been a good sleeper and I didn't realize/appreciate it until I learned about my friends' kids sleep.

He goes to bed 7/7:30 and wakes up 6:30/7. He is content to stay in the crib until we get him, usually 7/7:30am.

He naps roughly 12-2/2:30. If I was being super picky I would LOVE if he did a solid 3 hour nap. He does it maybe once a week or so. If he did it more consistently I would be in heaven.

DS2 is great. Bed 8-7 and naps 1230-230 or 3.

DS1 meh. Bed at 8/830 up at 630, no nap.

@travelgirl1: I nurse her in the glider, get her drowsy, then put her in the crib, put her lovey on her head (in the swing she always pulls her lovey over her eyes), pat her back, then leave and stand outside the door. I go back in if she's having trouble.

I know the lovey is unorthodox but it works for her and I take it off when she's asleep. I think it's like an eye mask for her.

@travelgirl1: as for tips, I don't really have any. I think they sleep well because if they don't our ship sinks. It's like they have a sense of doom. Mom will lose her mind if we make this hard for her. That, and lots of exercise. They earn their sleep.

@travelgirl1: C naps in L's bed. I put her in her bed but every day she gets out and climbs into L's bed (both twins.)
A is literally transitioning to crib naps this week. She's been swing napping until now but is starting no need a quieter sleep environment. She's been in the crib at night for a month. So far the transition hasn't been bad. I waited to it until L was in camp so I had more mornings in a row with only the babies to worry about. It's been tough letting C hang on her own while I encourage A to call asleep on her own. Fortunately the afternoon nap comes right after I put C down so it's only L on her own. A's been doing well though and not taking too long to sleep.

Nooooo. A lot of it is how long it takes them to get to sleep.
But my big girl goes to bed at about 8pm. My little boy, about 7pm. He naps once or twice a day, about 45 minutes each time and wakes a lot through the night.

Yes they are currently doing great and I am crossing everything and thanking the sleep gods! DS1 (2.5) has been really reliable ever since he started sttn, and sleeps about 7.30-6.30, then he stays in his room until 7 when his clock changes. He has just gone back to napping about 2 hours after a few months of nap avoidance. DS2 (4 months) has just started sttn 7-7, and naps at least 4.5 hours a day (3 naps).

Can't really complain! DS is 12 months and sleeps 7:30pm-6/7am, has a late morning nap and an afternoon nap. Probably naps for about 3 hours total a day.

My 13m old is fine... she sleeps 7:30-7:30, sometimes until 9, though if she's going to sleep that late, it's because she woke up at 5am and got milk and a diaper change. Usually she STTN, but maybe 3x a week she wakes up and won't go back to sleep without milk. At daycare she takes a 2 hr nap, at home on the weekend she takes a 3-3.5 hr nap.

My 3.5 year old is a major night owl. It takes major intervention to get her to bed by 9 (taking her swimming, running, etc. - then putting her in bed over and over and over), and that rarely happens. 10 is more common, and sometimes it's 11 or 12. I'd like to be asleep myself by 10, so this is a huge problem!!! If we give her melatonin or benedryl, she will go to sleep 8:30-9, but we really don't like to do that very often. She doesn't even take naps. She usually sleeps until 7:30-8, but sometimes during the week I have to wake her up earlier. I feel like I have a teenager!

In the last month, lo (27 months) has pushed her bedtime back from like 7:30 to 9, I think bc it's just still so light out til then. I wish she'd go to sleep at like 8 so that we could have more adult time at night. But, she does sleep a little later (7 usually) and has been taking great 1.5-2 hour naps and is happy, so I can't really complain... She still wakes up about 2x a week and refuses to let dh tend to get, so that's rough for me!

Mostly happy. DD is 8 months old and goes to bed around 6:45/7 and wakes around 5 to eat and then goes back to sleep or wakes at 6 and is up for the morning. I'd love if we could figure out the correct bedtime to get her consistently sleeping 'til 6:30 or 7.

LO1 (5): 8pm - 6:30/7am
LO2 (2): 8:45pm - 6:30am with a 1.5 hour nap in the afternoon

I can probably tweak LO2's sleep, but I'm just happy if I can get him asleep before 9 with less frequent middle of the night wake ups.

@Bao: I am.. usually. My son is 6 months and had been waking between 3-5am just once to nurse. That was totally doable! Now he's doing this annoying freak out at midnight. I won't nurse him but it takes 30 mins to get him back to sleep.

During the school year I love her sleep schedule. Wake up at 7:00 and bedtime at 7:30. I love her sleep during the school year so much!

During the summer we let her sleep in until 8:30/9:00 so that means bedtime is pushed back closer to 8:00 and I can hear her chatting to herself in bed until closer to 8:30/8:45. But I do like sleeping in and not being in such a hurry in the morning during the summer

Yes, I can't complain about her sleep for pretty much the last year! 11.5 hours every night from whenever she goes to sleep, so lately that's been 9ish to 8:30ish. 3 hour nap almost every day and she's fine no matter what time she goes down. We've had our 2 year old phases of nap fighting but honestly it could be so much worse!

I'm hoping everything stays good when she starts part-time preschool next month and that she continues napping until she's 18

Ds is usually in bed by 815 and up around 630. Last night was a huge shit show though because we made him wear a new sleep sack and then realized he was getting sick so he was up multiple times and finally went to sleep at 4am in bed with my mom who is visiting! He has been good lately until that. And he naps about 1-3 and we wake him. I'm fairly happy with it. He's never been a kid that needs 11 or 12 hours but I would love if he slept until 7 most days.

Dd is 2 weeks old and some how managed a 6 hour stretch last night and naps well usually. I'm not banking on another stretch like that any time soon, but it was lovely... If only DS had been sleeping.

I am happy with his schedule - bed at 7:15 PM, up at 6:00 AM, naps for 2 to 3 hours. I am not happy with his quality of nighttime sleep.

Yes she's great - except for last night, but I think that had to do with her canine teeth coming in. She sleeps like a log 6:45pm-6am, naps 12:30-2:30 at daycare. She takes two naps a day on the weekends - I am a little bit ready for her to start dropping that first nap since it makes it hard to really get out of the house, but for now I think she needs it to make up for the weekdays she doesn't get it.

Well, her sleep, napping in particular, is much better than it used to be, so I'm not unhappy. But it's still not great. She's 10 months, usually goes to bed around 9 pm, wakes 2 or 3 times to nurse, wakes up for the day anytime between 6:30 and 8:30. Naps are super variable. Some days she takes one 20 minute nap. Others she takes 2 hour plus naps.
