I totally got this question when I was pregnant with L. It killed me because, to be quite honest I WAS struggling with gender disappointment, but I didn't want anyone to know it. So this question just made me angry. This pregnancy I keep getting the, "I bet you're hoping for a girl, right?" Grrrr people, shut up! This is completely out of my hands and I'm trying my best to NOT hope for a girl, so leave me alone!

In my opinion, you should never ever comment on gender unless they person knows what they're having and you are saying something positive about raising boys/girls - whichever they're having.

I was in an elevator once and was asked by another passenger the usual when are due, etc. questions and then they asked what are you having. When I said boy they seriously responded with "is that what you wanted"? The only thing that came out of my mouth was "it doesn't really matter, does it?" Obviously the question has stuck with me almost 3.5 years later.

That's a weird question. I think people are just stupid sometimes. I got the "is he a good baby?" question a lot... What do you say to that?

Nobody asked me that (I had a girl) but seriously - what are you gonna say "no I'm pissed"? Even if there's gender disappointment , usually you only confess that to close friends and probably don't go announcing it to the world lol.

Now...despite my history with S, it still seems like a stupid question. Yes I'm happy...but I really don't have a choice about that do I? I mean, how would I look if I said no?

Do people ask you stuff like this?
