My very best friend and I got married within 6 months of eachother and had babies (boys!) within 10 months of eachother. I love that we got to share these experiences, it wasn't planned that way, just sort of happened!

We are in different places. I'm the first to get married, the first to TTC, and the first to be house shopping.

There's only one set of friends that we really relate to that is similar to us in place in life. Our other friends are about the same age as us, but still are "young at heart". It's kind of depressing sometimes, so the hubby and I try to find more friends that we can relate to better.

We got married few years later than our friends, but were the first to have a baby, and it doesn't look like anyone else will be having one any time soon.

Of DH friend's, particularly the college ones, we are definitely behind. Many of them got married within 5 years of graduating from college. DH did not. Many have multiple kids with some already in elementary school compared to us as first time parents. As for my friends, we are smack in the middle. Many (but not all) are married, and quite a few have children 2 years and younger. Some are probably going down the path of TTC this year.

99% of DH's friends aren't married, or even close to being married! let alone have a baby. my friends are getting married or close, but no kids either. we are the only ones really that have a baby(and one on the way) besides my siblings. and hanging out with siblings isn't the same, most of the time, as hanging out with friends.

For the most part, yes. We have one couple friend that isn't married or thinking kids yet, but everyone else is married with new kids like us. It's nice that we all pretty much are on the same page.

Nope.. I'm married have a house/job, etc. All our closest friends (ie everyone in our wedding party) still lives at home/finishing school.

All our new friends where we live now are a bit ahead of us with a kid or two and have been married for a bit longer.

Not really. Most of our friends are either quite a bit older than us and have a couple kids already, or they are our age but single or still in college.
We're ahead for our age, so that puts us in an awkward place.

I'm probably a little behind. Most of my friends graduated a year ahead of me and have already had their first kid. I've been the only one to have issues having kids, though, so that set me back. BUT it's nice having friends to get "been there done that" advice from so readily :)

We're in the middle I think. A couple of my friends are married, have houses, and have their first child. We're married, have a house, and have a child on the way. Then some of my other friends are married, have/don't have houses, aren't ready for kids, and a couple others haven't gotten married yet.

I think we are a little ahead of our friends. We have been married over a year now, and we've bought a house. A lot of our friends just got married or aren't married yet. No one has any kids yet, and I expect us to among the first of us!

I'd say we're in about the same place. Of my 4-5 closest girlfriends, none have kids, about half are married, the other half are in serious relationships, and all are either in grad school or recently finished grad school. DH and I have been married for about 7 months now, I am in my last semester of grad school, and we will start having kids in a year or two. My friends are on a similar timeline.

I have to close groups of girlfriends but they live in different cities. I am behind the one set, most have two children already. Sadly, one is divorced with two. A couple are in relationships or single.

I am further along the path than the other group. Mind you, I am one of the older ones. Only one has a baby. A few others recently married and a lot in relationship/single friends. I've found even during pregnancy I'm not included or invited out as often anymore. I'm sure that will become even more so once the babe is actually out in the real world.

My friends finished college before me because I went longer to get my masters. But I got married first, they either just got married (this past weekend) or aren't married and I'm going on three years with a 17 month old.

My friend just bought a house and was talking about how she's going to have a pool party. I know it'll start after lo's bed time and be based around drinking. Not really the kind of pool party I'm interested in, or able.to go to.

We've always been in the middle of the pack with marriage and kids. We waited two years before trying while others married after us and were pregnant right away. We're very much on our own timeline.

I'm about 2 years ahead of most of my friends. I graduated college nearly 3 years ago, bought a house almost 4 years ago, got married a year and a half ago, and we're expecting our first child in 4 months.

Most of my friends graduated 1-2 years ago, are just now buying houses, several are getting married in the next 6-8 months, and I expect they'll start having kiddos in a few years :)

I kinda wish we were closer in life events, it's hard for them to relate to stressing over daycares and breast pumps and it's hard for me to relate to wedding planning. :( we do the best we can though!
