Yes! We've been on holiday since the 5th of December, DH could only take a month off work so he headed back to Australia a week and a half ago whilst I'm in the States for another week and a half to spend more time with my family. Three weeks apart is a long time for us and I really, really, REALLY miss him!

I also miss him whilst he's at work everyday but he's got pretty normal work hours right now so I can't complain. Come June though, he'll be back to working 14 hr days, boo. :-(

ETA: we had a super long distance relationship (Australia - US) for the first two years so I despise any time we have to be apart now!

I am! He doesn't get home from working offshore until Jan 31! But the trade is that when he's home, he doesn't have any work at all to do, so we get to be a family ALL day EVERY day! I love it! It makes our time together that much more special;)

I spent plenty of time with him, but I definitely miss our relationship pre-pregnancy. I haven't been myself since I've been so sick, and I feel guilty because he is taking on so much... I miss being able to make out :p

Nope. He leaves the house at 6:20, I leave 20 minutes later. He gets home right before me (around 5pm) and we do baby duty together until she goes to bed.

@mrbee: yeah it used to just be QT because that is simply what happens with work and kids. Now I just don't really see him except for the weekends. Well, until K starts sleeping more, can't wait!

I'm actually about to see him in an hour for our 1st prenatal appt! Also, since we don't have kids yet we get a lot of alone time together. We get up at the same time, eat breakfast and commute to work together. Once we have the baby in daycare (or a nanny share) I'm sure that will change as one of us will have to leave early with the baby.

Like you, hubby and I have different work schedules also. he works from 3am till 2pm, and I work from 8am till 5pm. So the only time we really see each other is at dinner time because I don't get home till 6:30pm. Since the hubby has to work early, our bedtime is 9pm so the brief 2.5 hours we get with each other in the evening isn't enough. If he has tennis league that day, then we only see each other for 30 minutes!! I know others have it harder (those with deployments), but I do miss my hubby during the day!

@Andrea: That's so sweet!!! :)

I miss having actual quality time alone. We are never alone, unless we're exhausted at the end of the day.

I am! I see him for about 20 minutes in the morning but we're also getting DD1 ready for daycare and/or I am nursing DD2 as well. Then he works late so I might see him for an hour at night since I like to nap before doing the first feeding. We email/text a little throughout the day but he's usually too busy at work to talk. I am looking forward to the weekend!
