At the same time though, the second one gets catered to less, and gets taken less seriously at times (ex: he throws a massive tantrum and I just laugh, hug, and kiss him til he calms down). So in a sense, he doesn't really get what he wants either bc tantrums and the like don't phase me as much as it did the first time around! But some of it is there's the older LO who still needs help too so the younger LO has to deal more with not being catered to quite as much as we did when we only had one. When we had our second kid though, we definitely treated her more with kid gloves... probably because she came 5 weeks early and was so small. And then later because we realized that she's our last child and that any rough times on the sleep front will hopefully be temporary. These days though, she wakes up every night around 3 am and calls for us... so we may have to toughen up a bit. Or alternatively, just accept that we will have to cosleep until she's older!
