I don't live in the same place as a lot of my friends and family, and it helps me keep in touch in a really easy, low maintenance way. Like, my moh lives on the other side of the country now; we're both in grad school and really, really busy so we rarely have time to email back and forth in length, unless it's about something big (like her upcoming wedding), and I only see her like once a year.
