@regberadaisy: that's what the white noise is for! We don't find that it helps LO sleep better but it allows us to not tiptoe around because it drowns out environmental noise. :)

I am soooo overprotective of my LO's sleep! I'm sure my family and friends think I am totally bonkers and just being a paranoid first time mom but they don't know how difficult he can be when he's an overtired, crank mess!

Nopes, I'm pretty lax...LO can sleep through anything, thanks to our three loud doggies. Even when we are out and about all day, she's good about napping in the car, my arms, etc.

Yes. I get crazy and have major mommy tantrums if people mess with her sleep!

YESSSSS. I'm overly protective of my son's sleep. We always ALWAYS let him nap at home. Even if we're out and about, we'll always make it back home for his naps. It kind of ruins our plans but I'd rather have a short day out than deal with a cranky tantrummy toddler at night.

Even though he sleeps pretty soundly once he's down, I'm pretty protective. When we were on the road last week, I actually managed to get him to sleep in the travel crib! I hid in the hotel bathroom for awhile and then crawled to my bed to make absolutely sure I didn't wake him!

Very. She's a light sleeper and ive learned that the hard way. And she's a cranky pants if she's tired, as most babies are. So I'm a crazy person when it comes to sleep.

aside from a small window right after he falls asleep and right before he wakes up, i'm not protective. when lil' cb first came home, i was, but we quickly learned that he can sleep through a lot of noise. seeing as how he lived in a busy apartment building in seoul for the first 15 months of his life, i think he got used to sleeping with noise!

OMG my mom would do that when she was here and it drove me NUTS!!!! We don't use white noise...I DLed one on my phone before and I didn't really find it helped much for M at least.

I think I am semi-protective. If she's sleeping and my husband has the TV on too loud I freak out. Or if the dog barks I freak out. Everything has to be uber quiet when really I know we should act normal then she would just get used to it.

Absolutely. Way too much. We bring our humidifier (our white noise) and nightlight with us when we travel! We actually DON'T travel much because we want to protect his sleep.

I'm the opposite... I was pretty laid back with my first DD.... probably because she was an awesome sleeper. I had almost no sleep troubles with her.

But I'm more overprotective about my second DD's sleep because she's not a great sleeper. So when she sleeps, I hate when anything or anyone wakes her!

I was extremely overprotective of Charlie's sleep. I still am with Olive, but you have to be a little more lax when you have two. Right now I'm working in the dark in a hotel room with white noise on while Olive naps.

My mom just came in three times!!! and opened the squeaky door. I would never do that for fear of waking Olive up from her nap! But of course she didn't wake up, and I don't need to be so paranoid, but I can't help it.

With Charlie, I used to travel with garbage bags and painter's tape to block out lights from windows. One thing is for sure.... I think white noise may be my single most important baby product!
