But I'm not ready to end the bonding and the sense of pride that I can feed my child so easily, that he's gaining tons of weight and that I'm giving him all these health benefits. I hate pumping with my whole being, and I miss having my body be my own. I'd really like to go out one night and have a few drinks and stay out late, I'm mature... I know. But I love the time nursing time we have. He went through his nipple stretching phase, and now he's generally pretty cooperative when I nurse him. I made it to four months and selfishly wanted my body back. I was just sort of over it. Some nights after her bath, I can get M to snuggle with me a bit before she gets antsy for her evening nurse session. I'm at the point where I just want to snuggle, I'm tired of my boobs being used as feeding tubes. :) </p>
