Yes, I just weaned mine last month! She was 25months and I got pregnant in March so by last month my nipples were hurting terribly every time she nursed. She had gone down to just 2x a day (morning and night) and I cut out the night feed first by telling her it was just for mornings. And then for mornings I just quit offering. I let her nurse when she asked (and when she was sick) but eventually she stopped asking. It might have helped I would be already out of bed when she got up because I was so hungry I had to eat immediately lol.

I enjoyed nursing her overall but by about 20-22 months I was more ready to quit.

Ugh I don't know!! DD is 12.5 months, and yes I'm ready to be done, because it will be so nice not to have to worry about nursing! But then again, I LOVE our quiet time just snuggling..... AF just returned since I day weaned ( we nurse 2x/day morning and night) and I think if AF stays consistent, I will keep nursing and hopefully we will be able to conceive still #2! If AF doesn't come back again though I will probably wean in 1-2 months.

No, not at all! LO is 15 months; I'm hoping to nurse til she's two at least and then probably ween before I get pregnant again around that time. When I think about how there will be a last nursing session it makes me so sad. Though it's not like the day to day nursing is emotional like that for me. I also do not look forward to not being able to nurse her before sleep because she can be totally wild and silly before bed but nursing always calms her down (even though we don't nurse fully to sleep).

Yes!!! I have been nursing for almost 4 years and I'm OVER it. I started nursing in 2012 and nursed for 1 year, I delivered in early 2014 and am still nursing my 28 month old. She nurses morning/night (if I can avoid it, I do) and now that I'm home with her during the day too. I'm so over it! At night I just want to put her in her crib and be like, "good night!"

I have a girls weekend planned in a few weeks and I'm hoping to wean/dry up then. A little freaked out about it, but it's time!

The other day I was ready to be done because both kids are working on 2 yr molars and their teething nursing was giving me terrible blisters and clogged ducts. But once that abated I'm back to being good with nursing. We're down to 3-4 times per day (sometimes an extra motn if they wake) so I feel like we're in a pretty good place.

DD is a little over 20 months and I'm pretty much ready to be done. She doesn't have any interest in any other kind of milk however, so I haven't been able to bring myself to wean her. I'm hopeful that she will do it herself in the not-so-distant future.

DD2 is almost 22 months and if you would've asked me last week? The answer would be 90% yes. But she's had HFM since Sunday and hasn't been able to nurse due to the sores/blisters in her mouth. I'm really quite sad! Last time she got it I was able to provide temporary comfort and nutrition while she nursed. I missed being able to give her that this time around. :bummed:
