I don't like sharing my weight with friends because DH is tall and thin while I am about 6 inches shorter but not a whole lot lighter. At my heaviest we weighed less than 10 lbs different! But post baby I stopped caring as much - all modesty went out the window.

I am 5'4.5" and currently weigh 132 lbs. Pre-baby I was 137 and at my wedding I was 129 (gained some happily married weight). I was lightest at my college graduation at 122 but my happy weight is 125-130. I haven't actively been trying to lose weight since LO is EBF but the pounds are melting off on its own. I eat a lot too because DH thinks its cause I don't eat enough for a nursing mom.

@mrstilly: We're exactly the same! I am closer to 5' 11" but am also 170 right now. Trying to lose another 10 and see, but I would love to see if I could get to 150 and maintain it!

I'm usually very private about my weight, mostly because I can't stand the numbers myself. I am insulin-resistant, which makes it SO easy to put on weight, but super difficult to lose it.
I was 198 two months ago. Since then, I've been running and "dieting", so I'm not sure what the scale would say. I'm curious - but waiting until I think I look better to weigh myself.

@looch: I agree. My fat shorts don't even fit me right now at 7 weeks pp and that bothers me.

It bothers me to know my own weight over others knowing it. I didn't want to know how much I weighed when I was pregnant. I'm 5'11" and 155 at the moment. I hate it (mostly bc I cannot fit in my shorts!). I was 137 before our honeymoon which was my lowest weight since hs, then 142 when I got pregnant a month later (thanks to all the alcohol and junk food consumption during the honeymoon! Ha!). I will be happy when my fat shorts start to fit again and my weight hits 145.

I'm chubby/fat/fluffy and I have no issues with telling people my weight. Pre-pregnancy, I was at my highest (195ish) and now at 38 weeks, I'm about 218.

I'm 5'3", so I look like a little dumpling fo' sho'.

Yeah, I do. Since I'm on the thin side, I feel bad. People always ask me if I eat or if I have to workout. I do wish I gained a little more weight.

I'm 117 pounds. I'm sure when I get pregnant, it will all catch up to me.

I am sort of weird about my weight. Throughout my whole pregnancy I always hid my weight from my DH. He is very thin and I was self conscious to be weighing more than him!

I am not as shy about it on HB though.
5 weeks post baby I weigh about 152 (I am 5 ft 7). I weighed 145 before I got pregnant but I feel great at 135.

I wouldn't typically tell people what I weigh, unless I'm at my ideal weight (120), but 9 weeks post partum, I just don't care. I still look pregnant and my body has totally changed, so I'm giving myself a break from caring. I can't will my body to change back to what it was before having a baby, and I have no idea where I'll end up, but I lost 30 of the 40lbs I gained during pregnancy within a week after giving birth, so I was happy with that. I currently weigh 148, and don't like being any heavier than 130, but who knows what that number will be now that my body shape is so different.

I tend to be a bit shy about it only because people tend to make a big deal about the number being low. Like @Modern Daisy I'm short (5'0") with a small frame and spent most of high school/college around 95-105lbs, but being short makes the number deceiving. People often told me that they wouldn't think I weighed so little. In high school that made me self conscious about my weight thinking that I looked bigger than I actually was. I learned to embrace it, though, and would often play those weight/age guessing games at faires/amusement parks because I always won the weight ones. They would guess like 120-125 and be 20lbs off.

I am more emotional about my dress size than my actual weight. For some reason, being in size 10 bothers me more than weighing 150 pounds. I don't know why that is.

I'm in the camp of not wanting to share. I've always felt that I've been heavier probably because I'm so much taller than all my friends. I'm 5'7.5 and before this pregnancy was 130. Now that I'm pregnant I only tell my husband. I don't mind him knowing. I've decided to not let the weight gain bother me (took me 38 weeks to get to that point, I'm now 40 weeks and happy they forgot to weigh me at my last appointment lol). I just hope I can get back to my pre-pregnancy weight again!

Thanks!! :) It's definitely not easy, especially since i just moved to the cupcake, cookie and froyo center of the UWS.

I am 5'1" and have a very small frame. So I could still weigh as low as high 80's or low 90's and look totally normal, like not too thin. At 103 I look atheletic and curvy - my hips measure 37.5"! :)

I'm an open book, too when it comes to weight. It's funny because my department at work is all women and I throw around my weight numbers like nothing and none of them ever share. The only time they share is when we do some kind of weight loss challenge occasionally.

People are always surprised by my weight, they say I look "thinner" than what the scale says. I'm 5'7" and currently 180 lbs. and 2 months post-partum. Pre-pregnancy I was 165. I went up to 210 while pregnant.

I weigh myself almost every day. Slightly obsessed.

I have no problem telling people what I weigh. For the record, pre baby I was 146. At my 40 week visit, I was 188. I'm below 180 now but I can't be sure of an exact weight because we have an analog scale at home. I never weigh myself. I prefer to go by how my clothes fit. Not much fits right now. :-) Tanks and yoga pants will get me through the summer until I go back to work.

My weight has fluctuated from about 95lbs to 135lbs over the past few years (illness, medication, etc). I used to not have a problem telling people my weight until someone once said I was fat because I weighed 130lbs. Seriously? I was so offended. Now I just don't tell.

I've never been asked my weight. It's not something that comes up in the course of my regular conversations.

Having said that, once, my Mom, who is very petite, was walking out of the gym minding her own business and overheard some ladies (complete strangers) complaining about their weight. She was still minding her own business and they turned to her and called her a B-tch. (We presume because she was thin?) Not very nice. Anyway, I hope that kind of attitude is rare, but it sure makes me see why people don't share their weight.

I have no problems telling people my weight! I weigh about 103 lbs. I definitely look like I weigh more than that, but since I"m so short it's deceiving.

I gained a lot of weight after graduating college when I was feeling kind of depressed as a single person living on my own in a new city without a lot of friends. I got up to 130 which is technically overweight for my height and build. It was kind of like my breaking point - I immediately signed up for Jenny Craig and never looked back, I lost the weight and have maintained a range of 101-105 for the last 5 years!

@blushink: Yep that's where I'm at right now, I'm in size 16 and they are getting pretty snug. I also refuse to go into plus sizes. Like you said nothing is wrong with it, but I just mentally can't.

In high school I lost like 30 lbs in 1 summer, I don't know if it was an ED, but I was like 170-180 lbs and that summer I barely ate anything. My parents would always comment about me not eating and the weight just fell off. It wasn't healthy one bit, and no that I am looking back I really think it was an ED. I guess I haven't recognized it until today. But I am certain I am going to lose weight the healthy way this time!

PS that's awesome to lose 15 lbs before baby! I think the first 10ish lbs are the hardest!

@MrsBrewer: Well, before I got pregnant with my first... my clothes weren't fitting right (size 16) and I didn't not want to go in the plus sizes. Not that there's anything wrong with it... but it was for me... what made me flip. That I couldn't believe I've let myself get to this point and i would not have it. haha.

The fact that I was able to lose 15 lbs (before i got pregnant with my first) made me realize that I can do it. Now, I'm more motivated to get back to my "pre-dating weight" because that's how I feel most comfortable and make it will help my husband to kick off some more weigh on his end.

I used to be super super self-conscious--first because I was heavy, and was embarrassed, and then, when I was in the throes of my ED, because I knew my weight would get comments. Now I really really try not to think about it, and I'm proud of the way I've been able to let go of my old attachment to/obsession with numbers. i'm hoping that pregnancy weight gain doesn't bring it back!

I don't like talking about my weight because whoever asks usually remarks about how small I am. Calling me small is the nice way of saying I'm unhealthy looking. I started high shool at 85 pounds, graduates at 90, and was around 98 pounds at my wedding. I weigh 105 now and think I look better than I did before. I exercise a few days a week, and one day I do weight lifting. I'd like to gain another 5 pounds or so of muscle.

@blushink: Wow! This sounds exactly like us, we both gained a ton of weight. My mom would always joke with us (not being mean or anything) but that we were meant for each other because we were so happy and comfortable with each other that we just started gaining weight! hahaha

That's awesome that you are so close from getting the go-ahead to start exercising! So out of curiousity like what is your motivator now? For me right now (I'm not post partum or anything) but I have no motivation what so ever! Is it to be healthy for the baby? Or just for you?

@MrsBrewer: I know what you mean. When I started dating DH 8 years ago, I was maybe 155 lbs and he was 230, since then he gained over 100 lbs and I gained (at my most, without calculating pregnancies) 45 lbs. My highest weight was 198 and that's when I flipped! As in I started to count calories and exercise. I was able to get down to 185 and I got pregnant with my first.

Honestly, i told myself, I'll have my kids then I'll go at it. Now that I'm 5 weeks post partum, I can't wait to get the okay from the docs to start exercising. I'm more motivated now then i ever was in my life. I want the MILF title. :P lol ... kidding.
