I was definitely shy as a child, and I still am in very new situations, but I think overall I'm adjusting into the world.

I was very shy. In grade school, I used to turn red and tear up when I was called on or had to say anything. I'm not as shy anymore. LO is still too little to tell if she is shy but from her behavior these first few weeks, she's not going to be shy at all.

I'm super shy. So far, LO doesn't seem to be at all and it's nice that he's not a cling-on when others are around.

Not really. Hesitant sometimes depending on how I interpret the other person but I wouldn't say shy. My LO is not shy at all with other kids, she has started to be a lot more shy with adults though.

I was a shy kid (really shy)... Then one day at 15, something flipped in me and I became an extrovert. I never looked back. I see my same shyness in our little girl and remember how I felt clinging to my mom and looking away from someone new. We don't push Little Jacks so that she doesn't feel bad about herself. It's totally ok for her to be shy :)

very shy, especially around new people. I've been able to hide/mask just how shy and nervous I feel around people I don't know, but sometimes, I can't and end up stuttering! LO doesn't seem shy just yet...I have caught him staring at the checkout people when we go to the grocery store...he doesn't smile at them so maybe he's starting his stranger anxiety?

I went through a shy period when I was younger.. not so shy anymore though. LO is super social. She's always smiling and babbling at people.

I used to be VERY shy! There were only a handful of kids that I'd talk to in elementary school and I dreaded being called on in class.

Now I'm still a little quiet, but definitely not shy. As a teacher, not only am I in charge of 18 little people, but I have to be comfortable talking to parents and co-workers. I'm not the "life of the party" loud girl by any means but I'm not scared to talk to people anymore either.

I'm not shy at all. But my DH is and my son is too I think. What helped me overcome my shyness was moving schools a lot when I was little. I had to quickly make new friends and it sucked...but it made me more extroverted in the end.

I'm not shy, but I am quiet.

I doubt LO will be too shy since she'll be in daycare from the start, interacting every day with all sorts of people.

I've been shy all my life! I think once I started working in an environment that was dominated by aggressive people, I started to come out of my shell a bit. Nowadays I'd say I'm not really shy but I'm not really outgoing either - if I have nothing to say, I won't say anything at all, which apparently comes off as being conceited. I always envied people who were outgoing and friendly!

I'm very shy. When I was young especially. I would do anything to not have to talk to people outside of my family.

LO is only 6 months so people say it's just a phase, but I think she's shy like her mommy. She has crazy stranger anxiety. And by stranger I mean her grandparents that she sees at least once a week.

There was a period in elementary school when I was pretty shy and would turn red easily. But while I am an introvert, I can't say that I'm shy at all.

What about you? Is your LO shy? (Charlie is generally very outgoing, but he can be shy around new people at times.)
