She shaved her head, got divorced, moved, etc. She had some serious financial issues and lied about everything – she got a student loan and without telling me listed me as a reference, defaulted on the loan and twice a week for months Sallie Mae called me asking for her contact info (which I didn’t have because she changed her number and moved and didn’t give me her new info); I would email her about the student loan and she would play it off, I found out her home went into foreclosure while she emailed me saying how she’s buying all new appliances and posting to FB from her new iphone, etc. Then she changed her number again, deleted her FB and I’ve heard from her 1 time via email since then. </p> <p>I miss her, but she clearly doesn’t miss me. Surprisingly enough, one of mine was included because she is one of DH's lifelong best friends (and she didn't feel comfortable being a "groomsmaid" lol) and out of that we've become extremely close. Since DH is an only child, she's like an awesome adopted SIL to me.</p> <p>The one I don't talk to bailed on my rehearsal dinner, was late on the wedding day, and left my reception after about 20 minutes. I didn't ask much of my bridesmaids at all - they got to wear all black cocktail dresses, heels, jewelry, etc that they already had so they didn't have to spend ANYTHING. And she didn't even get us a wedding gift. I am seriously lucky to have 3 best friends from childhood, and they were my 3 bridesmaids. There are 4 of us and we started off in two pairs, then joined forces in 1st grade. My oldest friend has a sister who was her MOH and my college roommate (who I'm still close to as well) was my MOH, and the other pair was each other's MOH, but all four of us have been bridesmaids for all four of our weddings! We are actually planning our first vacation together now that all 4 of us are married (the last one got married last year) and I'm SOOOOO excited. We had grown apart in the year closer to the wedding (I was getting married, buying a house, settling in my career, she moved out west to be a ski bum and we were just in different life stages) She had a lot of shit happen on top of that and was in a really different place in life, got really flaky and rather than what I thought was burdening her with MOH things from across the country I just didn't bug her. She took it as being left out (and we failed to communicate this until the Wednesday pre-wedding) and had bailed on hosting a few things (shower, and then a low-key bachelorette) the last few weeks leading up to the wedding. After she showed up an hour late to take me to my bachelorette (just dinner with 20 or so friends, DH ended up driving me) I lost it on her and called her out, she proceeded to play dumb, next day "dumped me" via text message. I tried unsuccessfully to reach her the rest of that night, and the next day (day before wedding) and haven't heard from her to this day.
