I honestly didnt take it easy very much at all! Yes, there were days where I napped more often then normal, but overall - I worked until the end, I grocery shopped, I even went to a wedding 4 days before I gave birth!! Do what you feel comfortable with, don't do what people expect! Enjoy it because you honestly will be exhausted after the baby arrives!

I am somewhat, but only because my doctor advised me to because of some potential problems it could cause for me specifically. I still work full time, but I try to sit down as much as I can and prop my feet up when I'm resting. I still do most of the housework, but I try to take frequent breaks and stop when I start feeling tired. It's hard sometimes, especially since we're remodeling the back bedrooms (including the nursery), and I seriously LOVE doing that kind of thing. I do what I can to help, but it's hard watching the guys do all the fun/hard work!

I'm not really taking it easy, I'm still doing the same things I was doing pre-pregnancy. My dad freaks out if he sees me carrying a large grocery bag because he thinks pregnant women shouldnt lift a finger. but I think its good for me to stay active

Early in my pregnancy, my OB put a bunch of restrictions on me (physical ones) due to some health issues that upped my miscarriage risk. Now that those issues have resolved, I have no restrictions.

So far, I’ve only missed 1 day of work in the first 12 weeks – I work 8-6 (and often longer hours) at a pretty fast paced job. I take a nap almost every day on my lunch break. Other than that, I’ve stopped going to the gym, my husband does the majority of the cooking and cleaning (though I still do some of both), so while I’m taking it easier than my usual pace due to morning sickness and fatigue, my life isn’t that different from pre pregnancy.

My mom keeps saying she "can't believe" I'm still working full time - like....of course I am, what else am I suppose to do? ;-)

I've never taken it so easy in my life. I used to eat healthy, exercise 3-4x a week, clean, cook & move at a fairly fast pace. Nowadays, I'm so lazy. I move slow and sleep a lot. I can't help it with the occasional headache/migraine and nausea just looming over my head.

Nope, not at all. I am doing everything I did pre-pregnancy except probably taking more time to do it.

By taking it easy, do you mean am I being a lazy sloth woman? The answer is yes! I have been such a bore these past few months. Mostly I have had no energy and can't motivate to do anything. I haven't cooked (gag), I have done minimal cleaning and I certainly haven't decorated for fall. Ifeel some of my energy coming back so it looks like the lazy sloth woman is going away.... For now.

I have been forced to take it easy due to debilitating morning sickness until week 18 and now, I get nauseated, sweaty and dizzy if I push myself too hard. It's difficult for me to admit I have to rest when I usually like to power through my day, but my body isn't giving me another option.

I am just taking it normal I guess you could say! I'm a SAHM, so I don't "work" full-time (although I think being a mom is pretty much the same!). I have never really worked out, but I did go hunting this last weekend and hiked around in knee deep snow with a gun on my shoulder! I still do the chores, grocery shopping, cooking, taking care of DS, etc. I haven't really changed much other then staying at home!

I'm literally on my feet all day at work, running back and forth around the store, and so when I get home, I'm utterly exhausted, and so yeah, I do take it a bit easy.

I got really bad migraines so I had to take it easy. My main goal during pregnancy was to avoid a migraine, because I wanted to avoid taking meds. And since EVERYTHING gave me migraines, most of the time I was stuck on the couch :( I would much rather have been able to stay active, and I'm sure I wouldn't have gained so much weight!

I'm not working (I worked up until I moved to California with DH which is when we got married which is when we got pregnant, lol) so compared to pre-pregnancy I am sorta taking it easy, but I definitely keep myself busy. And since my husband is deployed I can't exactly rely on anyone else to take care of the housework/errands that need to get done.

In the past few days my back has been KILLING me (I have a history of back problems so it's expected) to the point where when I walk, I limp severely. So, this weekend I've definitely been taking it easy - but that's mainly because if I'm walking for extended periods of time I literally can't hold back tears! I've been joking with my friends that by the end of the pregnancy I'll need a cane (I'm only 20 weeks now) so I have to start forcing myself to really take it easy.

In my experience, when you tell people you are pregnant they tell you to "make sure you take it easy!" Have you been taking it easy during your pregnancy?

Not complaining, but I haven't! Still working full time (at least 8-6), doing all of my household work, grocery shopping (and carrying my own parcels), social gatherings, working out, etc. Yesterday was the first day that I actually "took it easy" - my husband and I had a couch day/movie marathon and I napped off and on all day. I just feel like there is too much to do to take it easy! I'm just in my second trimester now and have felt really good, so maybe this will change.

Have you taken it easy? If you have, is it because you were sick? Should I be cashing in on taking it easy!?
