There are plans for new windows...), that, combined with the fact that our furnace is out and we've been depending only on our little wood stove in the basement means the main floor of the house was well down into the 40s on Sunday night, so yes, I was worried about them being too cold and they slept in the basement that night. Well, I do that every night, but the extra socks were just for tonight.</p> <p>We have terrible, drafty windows so even though we kept our thermostat at 69, I was worried.
