From experience though I like to make sure that it's not someone's house where they're just renting out a bedroom and the only 'staff' is the owner. BUT I purposely looked for a more "modern" B&amp;B, and of course...read all the reviews.</p> <p>Like, all the places with scary antique beds and laura ashley comforters with a rocking chair in the corner and creaky wooden floors is a no-go with me.</p> <p>The place we stayed in was pricey, but it had a huge bathroom with a whirlpool jet tub for two people, a sitting area with a couch, library, flat screen tv, and huge, modern king size bed. Plus the breakfast in the mornings was pretty awesome, and every evening, there was a "happy hour station" with snacks and wine in chilled bottles from 5-7 pm.</p> <p>So I'd say....It depends on the B&amp;B. The room was awful, the bed was like sleeping on cardboard, a porch light that we couldn't turn on or off shone right in our eyes all night, and the owner accused us of smoking pot. The staff was nice, but the owner was horrible. Are you a hotel gal like me? Or do you like a quaint B&amp;B? </p>
