Age here doesn't mean much in terms of respect, I'd say though, it's more about how long you've been in the department. I have two girls who have cubicles next to me who are about my age, but also next to me are three women closer to my mom's age. There is this one lady who is in her 60's and she is just a sweetheart - I love her so much! Sometimes we take breaks together and just talk.
