D is a total klutz. Trips and falls all the time. After his heart surgery he had to be on aspirin to prevent blood clots, and he spent most of those 6 months just covered in bruises. Thank goodness I'd warned daycare the day he went back to be aware that he might bruise easily or bleed more than normal, because seriously, sometimes the kid looked like we beat him!

@sorrycharlie: Yes! Blake does the same! He regularly runs into a corner where our kitchen goes into the hallway because he just isn't looking.

My daughter is super active and rarely stops moving. She's actually pretty darn athletic IF she pays attention to what she's doing. The problem is she regularly takes off running/jumping/climbing without watching where she's going. Her shins are so constantly bruised that I've asked the ped more than once if she has leukemia 😳

My oldest has become more cautious over time. My youngest still hasn't learned to be cautious he is covered in so many bruises and scrapes. It drives me crazy. I swear people must think we are terrible parents. 🙈🙈🙈🙈

@twodoghouse: yes! Charlotte will run and look over her shoulder - while she's running. I feel like she's George of the jungle. Watch out for that tree.

Not really- my almost 3 year old is actually cautious when she is doing something more dangerous, like climbing at the playground and whatnot. The times she gets hurt are when she's just totally not paying attention where she is walking and trips on the sidewalk or walks into a corner. So at least I can relax at the playground now and just keep reminding her to pay attention.

The baby is too young to know.

Yes, they both constantly have bumps and bruises on their heads (their heads are in the 90th+ percentiles, so I guess they're top-heavy 😁). LO1 had stitches at 15 months, so I'm really hoping we can make it longer without an ER visit with LO2!

Yes, Blake is super accident prone. Right now, he has a little bruise on his eye, a cut on his foot (stepped on the matchbox truck he had been playing with a minute before!), and walked into a table at story time today and scratched his face. And bruises all up his shins, but those go away fast! He's always sort of paying attention to everything BUT where he's walking.

Yes, E is a wild child and is forever crashing into things, falling off things and spinning round and round until she falls over. She is covered in bruises and grazes.

My oldest is so cautious but kind of a klutz, so she gets her share of minor injuries.

My youngest has no fear and is extremely accident prone. She is COVERED in bruises. Her latest was face planting into her sisters foot board, bruising her face. She looks like she's got a dirty face, but nope. Bruises.

Thank god no pediatrician appt yet. They'd probably wonder!!
