We have this problem! Lo is like 25th percentile in weight but 50th in height, so really long and skinny, so she definitely grows out of the length before the waist. I don't mind in the summer at all--they just look like capris, haha. She only has rainboots right now but maybe I should get her other boots too so that her ankles won't be exposed on cold but not rainy days...

Always with Cam. He's very tall for his age, but skinny, so pants are either too short and fit at the waist or sag and are the right length. I can't win, but I'm super short so I'm happy he's tall!

I constantly have this problem... DD is super tall and skinny so she is a 3t (or sometimes even a 2t) in the waist but a 4 or 5 in length. Her leggings are always both slightly baggy and slightly too short lol. I'm glad it is boot time so she doesn't look unkempt.

We have this issue too! Our one pair of Hanna Andersen are the right length but holy moly they aren't cheap! When it's warm enough (and I definitely push the envelope on this definition) I stick her in mini Melissas and no socks and just pretend it's the look I'm going for. Her boots are ankle height and almost make it look worse.

Us too. My mil always points it out. But a lot of the time her pants will bunch up making it worse than it actually is.

yep my 4.5yr old is currently a size 7, but some of her older leggings are short in the leg, so ankles and socks are showing. We are about to hit summer here (though our weather is still cold some days), so i'm hoping to ditch the old crappy leggings and wear shorts until early next year when she can wear new leggings to kinder.

I'm finding it really hard to find nice thick warm leggings that aren't see throught, so I might splurge and order some of the gap cozy leggings and have them shipped internationally. Can anyone vouch for their coziness?

Ankles aren't usually a problem- she seems to have short legs- but her shirts ride up over her tummy sometimes! Not a great look especially paired with leggings, and she only wears leggings these days. I just bought a bunch of new shirts that are a little big and very long.

@mediagirl: ugh yes I was just noticing this today. I'm
Sure she is in the right sized pants but they all seem too short. I'm just going to have her wear her socks pulled up over her pants.

LO is kind of between 18 and 2T sizes but I bought all 2T for the winter (seeing as she's 21 months old!) so all her pants are a little too long. I hadn't thought about how that's definitely preferable for winter weather!

It drives me crazy to see her socks. But with leggings and sneakers there is no way to help it. I try and do boots on the weekends so I don't have to see the socks.

My daughter wears cloth diapers so I have to size up to fit her fluff but which eliminates the length issue. If we didn't, her pants would look like capri's! Annoying!

Either his ankles are showing or his pants are falling down when he runs. I'm jealous of the parents of girls who can just put leggings on their kids, I bought B some leggings for his Halloween costume and they fit him so well!

We have this issue too. My daughter is long and lean. If it's really cold I have her wear boots or something. I also just bought some leg warmers.

Her normal pants are all too big in the waist, so she lives in leggings.
