More. Both of my grandfathers passed before I was born and my paternal grandmother lived several hours away, so we rarely saw her.

Both of my parents are alive and live a couple hours away, so we see them about once per month. DH's parents and 1 grandfather are alive, but we only see them once per year.

LO has all four grandparents. I had all four growing up but they lived far away. I'm excited that our LO will get to see his grandparents much more often. My parents are only 20 min away & DH's are two hours away. :)

Less. At my LO's ages I still had all four of my grandparents. They currently have both grandmothers and a maternal grandfather.

More! Both sets of grandparents are alive; two are divorced but have not remarried, plus one of them has a boyfriend that's unofficially her grandpa. I had 4, but one died when I was young, and was only close to 2 of them and even they I didn't see nearly as much as L will get to see her grandparents. My extended family was not close-knit at all and very dysfunctional, which was one of the things that really bothered me growing up. I married into a wonderful extended family, so not only will L have 4 close grandparents who she sees often (even though they don't live in town) she also has 6 great-grandparents, 4 of which she sees regularly (on my husband's side) and one living great-great grandmother on my husband's side!! I feel so blessed to be able to give L these relationships with her extended family.

Never met my paternal grandparents, and my maternal grandfather passed when I was 4. he never liked me though (bc I was a girl), so I mainly grew up with my maternal grandmother. I was her fave! <3

She also has 2 great grandmas, and a great grandpa (I had both great grandmas for a very blessed long time, and just lost my final great grandma last summer she was 100 years old.) She's lucky to have both sets so close and so involved.

Fewer. It would be impossible for there to be more because DH and my parents are both still married, and I grew up with extra grandparents due to divorces and marriages. I guess technically step-grandparents, although they have never felt that way to me.

Currently the same. All my grandparents were gone by the time I was 15 though. So, if our parents last longer than that (and I seriously hope they do!!!!) then he will have more than me. I REALLY loved my grandparents and it bums me out that I never got to know them as an adult, like my cousins did.

The same, amount wise. I had all 4 of my grandparents until I was 13. Then, I had 3 until I was 23. I feel very fortunate to still have my two grandmothers now at 25.

Also, I was only super close to one set because the other set lived farther away. My LO has both sets of very involved grandparents within a 45 minute drive.

I only really had quality time with my dad's mom, since my other grandparents died or weren't in America (my mom's mom lives in Japan). The dad's mom passed when I was very young though, so I didn't really get much time with grandparents.

Our kids have all four grandparents, and it's amazing seeing how much of an impact it's having on them! I think it helps the kids to just know that there are more people out there in the world that love you. On the flip side though, our grandparents live pretty far away (California and Asia), so we don't get a lot of time with them.
