One of our two dogs is but they both like to make a parade around the house following me while I do whatever it is I'm doing. We call the needy one our attention whore...because well - she is.

Our dog is like that with DH, it drives me insane. And to a lesser extent with me when DH isn't around, but he knows I don't want to snuggle with him, so it's just sad following from room to room.

In the middle of the night jump onto our bed and sit right next to my chest and stare right at me. I will wake and move the blankets so he can crawl inside.?..kinda creepy sometimes

Our cat is both really independent and super needy/clingy - usually of me. She's needy in that she has to sleep on my legs/feet every night, and she loves to lay across or curled up against my belly since I got pregnant. She also loves to take naps on my during the day now that I'm home for maternity leave, and has almost always taken a nap on me starting as soon as I'm done with dinner, until we get up to get to bed.

She also has this weird clingy thing she does with bugs in the house - if she can't get them (like they fly up high on the wall, out of her reach), she was cry and meow and really wail and come running for me to "help". She never does it with my husband, but she will really loudly cry at me until I get up and follow her to where the bug is, and help her to get it. Sigh. She also will follow where I point, like a dog does...and if I get the bug and then get it close to her she grunts a bunch and makes little kitten sounds and purrs, and then loves on me the rest of the night.

Yep, they both love cuddling and follow us everywhere (unless they're super tired)...

Our yorkie loves sleeping next to me on our bed, so DH is strictly enforcing the dogbed rule to train for when LO is here... (and for our new bed coming in next week!)

Yes! Our cat is the neediest thing I've ever seen! I can't be in a room without him, he has to sleep touching me, if DH goes to touch me- the cat will smack his hand! No claws, just a 'back off, buddy!' kind of smack, he even sits on the edge if the bathtub and tries to drink my bath water. Ewww. He also yells if his food or water bowl isn't full or if he little isn't up to par. Yup, my little angel!

My cat is now. The first few months after we adopted him he was really standoffish. Then I got pregnant, and he suddenly became obsessed with me. Always nuzzling, sleeps curled up next to my belly, waits for me outside the bathroom, flops down next to me while watching a movie. I'm kind of waiting for him to go back to his "normal self" once I give birth!

Yes, our cat always has to be around one of us, usually me. But if I'm static and hubs is moving around (like I'm in the kitchen making dinner and he's going upstairs to change or something), she'll follow him. But at night when we're watching tv, she's always either sleeping on the floor in front of us or (more often than not) on my lap. She is not allowed in our bedroom at night, and she does ok with that, but usually around 5:30am, she sits outside the door and cries. We used to think it was because she was hungry but I actually think it's just because she misses us. It's adorable and I love it. I'm so glad we got a snuggly kitty rather than one who ignores us all day like my sister's cat.

Yep, she follows us from room to room and has to be near us all the time. She was a shelter dog, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. The cat is usually pretty independent, but sometimes when I'm in the bedroom with the door closed (I got to bed before DH), he'll start "scratching" at the door and omg it scares the crap out of me sometimes. The whole door pounds and shakes in its frame! Yikes. He's woke me up more than a few times.

No, he's very independent. Half the time I don't even remember he's home, and if I do I don't know where he is. He's clingy to my mom though, he loves her.

One of my cats will cry if she can't get to me. Now that we lock them up at night, the first thing she does when my hubby lets her out is make a beeline to me, mewing the whole way. She hops up on the foot of the bed, comes up to my armpit for a cuddle, then either settles at the end of the bed (if I'm still sleepy) or purrs and waits for me in the bathroom. And if I'm in the bathroom, so is she, except for showers and morning sickness. If she takes a nap and I'm not in the room when she wakes up, she'll run around the house yelling for me until I make eye contact, and then she'll just start purring like mad. She is frequently in another room, though. Unlike our other cat who is usually within sight, and is within arms reach when he's napping (unless he finds a particularly warm sunbeam.) He's not as obsessed with the bathroom, but he likes to come in while I'm taking a bath and bat at my toes, especially if there are bubbles.

Usually. If I leave the bathroom door open when I shower, our cat will sit on the mat outside the shower door. If I close the bathroom door, she will sit right outside the door. Last night, we went outside to take out the trash, and as soon as we closed the door she started howling. If I'm sitting or laying down and she's awake, she wants to sit on my lap or next to me. She also likes to grab my dirty socks and carry them around the house. She likes DH too, but she definitely prefers me.

Two of our three cats are, but specifically with DH, not so much me, unless he's not home. They'll follow him from room to room, and will sit outside the bathroom door and meow until he lets them inside. When he's sitting at his computer at least one of them is on his lap, and sometimes both, and they sleep on him at night.

Yep, she likes to be by one of us at all times, the only time she isn't laying by one of us is when she's really tired. She likes to sprawl out on the couch on her own, but if we get up she jumps up and follows us to wherever we go. We make her sleep in her kennel so she actually sleeps and doesn't wake up every time we move.
