Congratulations @Mrs. Sunglasses!!!! I had very different symptoms in my first trimester, but after that passed most of my symptoms were similar.

For Noelle:
- extremely sore breasts
- extremely tired (it could also be cuz I went cold turkey on caffeine)
- no morning sickness, no nausea
- no food cravings
- no food aversions
- lost 2-3 lbs in 1st trimester

For Baby 2 :
- no blemishes
- light breast soreness, but not bad
- extremely tired (even with some caffeine)
- a lot of nausea, but no vomiting. could only stomach soup, noodles, and simple carbs (bread, crackers) in 1st trimester... but would only eat a few bites every few hours.
- extreme aversion to sweets
- no food cravings
- STRONG sense of smell... i couldn't be in the kitchen for very long.
- lost 5 lbs in 1st trimester
- constipated

both my pregnancies with two girls were pretty similar in the first tri.

things were different in the third tri (first baby, easy 3rd tri... second baby, insomnia and other symptoms I can't even remember right now!).

I also noticed the second time around that I showed a little earlier and felt more pressure in the pelvic floor earlier (OB said that was common).

The Chinese gender chart always said I was having girls, so they were right twice in my case. Of course it's been wrong too for some... Be sure to adjust for your lunar age with some charts.

Last pregnancy:
-sick everyday, sometimes twice a day
-still had a lot of energy during the first trimester, I was finishing up my last year of college and I'd work a 4am-12pm shift at a coffee shop, school at 1-7pm and I probably had about 6-9 papers to write a week. But I wasn't worn out!
-I gained 10 pounds the first trimester
-Constant heartburn.

This pregnancy
-I'm so tired, I feel like I have mono. I go to bed at 8, wake up with my LO at 6, and nap when he does between 1-3
-I've only been sick twice
-I haven't gained anything but my stomach is approaching bump status quickly.

I read your post Bee and its really interesting. Don't think I'd test it out (because I'm cheap and don't want to spend 20$) so I'll have to wait. But trying to figure it out with all these wives tales is funny.

Did you test out the chinese gender calendar?

i asked parent that had a boy and a girl on my local messageboard whether the pregnancies felt different, and most said it felt the same. i think my pregnancies were pretty similar with charlie and olive. i was more tired with olive because i was chasing charlie.

i took one of those early gender prediction kits and it said i was having a girl. dunno how accurate those are but it was right!

Congratulations first off!!!
Secondly, I've been told by several people that the hormones from a female fetus cause the mother to break out more and hormones from a male fetus cause more hunger thus greater weight gain so you may be having a little lady.

They say every pregnancy is different and the variation of the symptoms isn't necessarily indication of the sex of the child but I was wondering what were the variations in your pregnancies.

I'm 12 weeks pregnant so here is a quick comparison

For Mavrick :
- extremely sore breast
- back acne
- extremely tired
- no morning sickness
- no food cravings
- gained 3 lbs in 1st trimester
- nose bleeds

Baby 2 :
- horrible blemishes in face
- tender breasts (no soreness what do ever)
- extremely extrenely tired (maybe having a toddler doesn't help)
- no morning sickness but random "oh I might puke"
- no food cravings
- gained 0 lbs in 1st trimester
- period like cramps
- constipated

Also maybe its because i was pregnant before but secibd time around I knew 3 days after conception I was pregnant. Weird right?!
