We have two cousins with the same name in my family and no one cares - the moms of the two boys laugh about the fact that neither of them would give up the name (they were pregnant at the same time)...they are just names and will be unique individuals! Mine is about 4 months older and we moved away soon after I got pregnant. I'm guessing they'd picked it well before we announced our name at his birth and didn't want to change it since we now lived far away! If you love a name you love a name and it's often hard to come up with a favourite you'd be willing to use I find. Plus they live extra far away so you won't see them often. My daughter is Anna Caroline and one of her her best friends (who lives five minutes away) is Ava Caroline. </p> <p>Funny story- We were pregnant at the same time again for our second babies and we almost named the girls the exact same name! She just named her son Finn. We've been flip flopping about names but DH's front runner is Finley for DD2. Should we drop it off the list? Or is it different enough/we won't be interacting often enough for it to be a concern? </p>
